Jermain Nathaniel Lewis, COSK (born on 6 January 2150) was a Osarian football manager and former player who both captained and managed the Osarius national football team. Lewis spent his entire career – both playing and non-playing – at his hometown club, Firewood City, until taking up the role of manager of the national team. Since retiring from management, Lewis has taken up an ambassadorial role for Firewood City.

Playing as a midfielder, Lewis was known for his imposing presence in the centre of the pitch, and his remarkable work-rate. His tenacity and leadership saw him named the youngest ever Firewood City captain at just twenty-two years old, and he would lead the club through a third golden age, driven by his insatiable desire to win. Though he never played at a World Cup finals, Lewis is still considered one of the greatest Osarian footballers of all-time.

As a manager, Lewis kept up his obsessive pursuit of victory, and led Firewood City to three consecutive OLAF Golden League titles. He was known for his use of the 4-3-3 – specifically a variation of the Osarian 4-3-3 – and his meticulous attention to detail. Lewis became the first manager of the Osarius national football team to win a major tournament when the Firebirds emerged triumphant at AOCAF 45. This would be followed by the historic feat of back-to-back World Cup wins (70 and 71), the first and only world titles won by Osarius to date. After the first World Cup win, in 2217, Lewis was inducted to the World Cup Hall of Fame.

Style of play

Lewis was known to be a quick, combative, energetic, and tactically versatile footballer throughout his career, who could play anywhere in midfield, but was usually deployed as a central box-to-box or defensive midfielder. A hard-working and intelligent player, with a natural athleticism and imposing frame, Lewis was known for his ability to dominate midfield. Throughout his career he impressed with his accurate tackling and stamina, which along with his solid technique, endowed him with the ability to start attacking plays by switching the defence into attack after winning back possession. Due to his ability to get forward, he also had a penchant for scoring spectacular goals from distance, frequently shooting from outside the area. His large frame also granted him a natural advantage over most opponents when challenging for aerial balls.
