Rabastorian Union
The Rabastorian Union (RBU) is a politico-economic union of five member states that are located in various regions of the multiverse. The two largest and most powerful member states are located in Atlantian Oceania, specifically in an area more commonly known as Rabastor. The RBU has an approximate area of one million square kilometres, and an estimated population of over 250 million. The RBU has developed an internal single market through trade agreements and a system of regulations that apply in all member states. RBU policies aim to remove restrictions on the movement of people, goods, services, and capital within the internal market, and maintain common policies on trade, agriculture, fisheries, and regional development while promoting co-operation between member states to maintain peace and order. Within the RBU, a valid passport issued by a member state is required to allow movement between states, while each individual member state issues its own permissions for external citizens to enter.
The RBU operates through a hybrid system of supranational and intergovernmental decision-making. The principal decision-making body of the RBU is the Council of Rabastor, which comprises representatives from each member state and works in tandem with each state's leadership. For Council decisions to be binding, agreement is required from at least eighty percent of Councillors. As each member state has an equal say on the Council, this theoretically means any decision requires assent from four of the five member nations.
