Southern Fourge rivalry

In Osarian football, the Southern Fourge rivalry is the regional derby between Firewood City and Trothwands Evolution. While the rivalry is called the Southern Fourge rivalry, it is notable that only Trothwands is actually in that area, as Firewood is located in central Fourge. Following the move of Greeningham City to Applegrass, Trothwands were the only remaining competition to Firewood in the Fourge region for some time in the early 22nd century, and the two clubs developed a rivalry competing for regional dominance.

The rivalry intensified after the 36th Baptism of Fire, when Trothwands captain Malachi Lubret was expelled from the national team and heavily criticised by Firewood heroes Benedict di Corradi and Jermain Lewis. Neither club's fans forgot the conflict, and the ill feeling intensified. The derby is considered to be the most bitterly contested in Osarius, and frequently features heavy crowd violence. Notably, brothers Benni and Ashley Watson lined up opposite each other in this matchup on several occasions – in directly opposing positions.
